Wrongful Reporting on Credit Reports & Identity Theft

What does RESOLUTION FIRST Do?

We help individuals correct wrongful reporting on their personal credit reports.

What kinds of wrongful reporting?

  • erroneous reporting -- it's not your account, you did not incur this debt, and it's just plain wrong
  • inaccurate reporting -- it belongs to you, but it has errors and it's wrong the way it's shown
  • incomplete reporting -- it belongs to you, but there's more to the story, and it's not nearly as negative as it appears
  • obsolete reporting -- it's over seven years old, it should not be used to dis-credit you and it must be removed

Is your "credit-ability" at risk?

  • Do you pay all your bills on time?  Even so, they can be listed on your credit report as past due.
  • Do you have a common last name?  Someone with a similar name may be listed on your credit report or may even be stealing your good name to obtain credit.
  • Have you ever cancelled a credit card?  It may still be listed on your credit report as open.  Too many open accounts can harm your credit rating, and, what's worse, it can make you vulnerable to identity theft.
